Reflection: Day 1

Do you ever go through those times in life where you spend a lot of time reflecting? Well, that's where I'm at right now. They say reflection is a vital part of growth; I tend to agree. One thing that is weighing on me so heavily is "FEAR". There are some moments when I feel like I have to question everything I'm doing. Is it possible to have a mid-life crisis in your mid-20's?

If you know me at all, then you know that all I want to do is work in sports. Sports are my passion. But am I doing everything in my power to work in sports? No.

Don't get me wrong, I love working as a producer and I have the most incredible morning show team! But we all have dreams!

Why is it that we constantly get in our own way? It's the most frustrating thing in the world. If you want something then you have to work hard and you have to go out and get it! What's so scary about that!? NOTHING.

Okay, so someone tells you no. But guess what, no means nothing. It means no to that person but there are a million other people in the world. Eventually, someone is going to say yes! That's all you need, one person to say yes.

It's time to put the less into fear. It's time to work harder. It's time to stop getting in my own way.

Sometimes, you just need to remind yourself that you can truly do anything that you put your mind to.
And to remember this: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

Habakkuk 2:2-3

And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
